Cars here spend their lives on a slope. Depends on the piece. Sunroof panels and back glass with wiring are better done in the bay, where we can dry-fit, test the grid and take our time with the trim. Plain door glass can travel. Given the hill parking on your side, most people drop the car on the way somewhere and collect it later the same day.
That is the normal case, not the exception. The grid is part of the glass, so a new back window restores it, but the tabs, the pigtails and the feed wire behind the trim also need checking. Same for the third brake light if the car carries one in that pane. We test all of it before the interior panels go back on.
